Napa Trip! (Part 1)

David and I are very lucky to have friends who live in such wonderful places like Napa. It actually makes the 6 hour trip up there (a few stops along the way) worth it! We drove up first thing Saturday morning and came back mid-day on Sunday. It was a quick trip but a great visit. Our friends Dan and Marie have a beautiful house "on the top of the world" as we call it. It takes about 10 minutes just to drive up the hill to their house. They've recently redone the house it was beautiful.

I loved this stairway right at the entrance.

Christopher was so good on the trip up, but only one 20 minute nap, not good. But he was such a trooper and we got him settled in with dinner and some Shrek so we could have some adult time. He loved it, first viewing. In his new booster seat no doubt.

Love this chair already. It will transition with him till he can just sit in the chair.

I loved the redwood on the floors.

Christopher got to see some lizards and some other bugs.

And this is Margaret, the soft serve machine turned into Margarita Machine! Love it. She's all dressed up in her blue dress with nowhere to go. Poor thing.

And the pit from Pig Roasts past.

Dan is an amazing chef, chocolatier, lover of fine wines and all around great friend!

The view... from their back door!

More bugs. Worlds largest grasshopper here.

A great evening... with great company.

Christopher, of course, went to sleep without a problem. He did wake up twice though and fussed a bit since he didn't know where he was, but he went down quickly.

Part 2 next...
