Tree Decorating and hanging out...

We spent Black Friday at Grandma and Grandpas. Daddy and Grandma went golfing and Grandpa, Mommy and Junior hung out. Junior decided it was not a day for naps but had fun anyways.

By the way, we found out Monday that Christopher is allergice to Milk and Peanuts, great. We now think the "eczema" that's been on his legs, arms and cheeks is more of a milk allergy reaction. Wednesday night we started him on Rice Milk and already his cheeks are better. You can see in the photo above. We are cutting out all dairy to see how the rest of the rash improves. He hasn't had peanuts yet so we'll see as he gets older. I'm allergic to peanuts but only certain brands of peanut butter and I have no reaction to peanuts or peanut butter in candy, so I'm hoping his is more like mine. And yes, that's a new boo boo on his forhead. It's his Harry Potter look-a-like boo boo. He took a stumple Tuesday night. Ok, back to pictures.

He can now push it back and forth by himself and will also push it back and forth with someone else.

His joy is obvious.

A side note here. I noticed the other week that Junior seemed to always have circles under his eyes. For a kid that sleeps through the night and takes great naps (usually) this seemed odd. Until I read this week that one side effect of a milk allergy (among other things) are circles under the eyes. Hmmm, who knew. I guess it causes a lot of things that most of us just write off. David and I are going to go milk free for a few weeks here coming up to see what changes it make in us.

I know that half of his face is cut off here, but I kinda really like the photo, just enough to know how happy he is.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving this year was so much fun. We were at Grandma and Grandpa A's house all day. Grandpa, Dad and Mommy went to see 2012 while Grandma babysat and cooked the Turkey. Then we all hung out and just enjoyed ourselves. I tried to get some shots of Junior in his outfit.

This is Christopher's reaction to Grandpa walking in the room...

He loves the painting above the fireplace. If you've been to the house, you'll know why :)

Yes, like I've said before, it's not the store bought toys that are sometimes the most entertaining, it's just stuff around the house...

And Grandpa appears to be quite fun!

Junior is also just a happy kid...

Christopher playing...

This age is so fun. Everything is new, is interesting, is fun. You can see Christopher's mind working as he figures things out and what to do with them.

I love this shot.

I read somewhere that we are suppose to teach him out to squat once he starts walking so he doesn't fall over. It took a day of him bending at the waist and toppling over before he just figure it out on his own.

Yes, it's a struggle to go to work every Monday. Being a Mom is just way too much fun!

Hugs, hugs and more hugs...

My son loves to hug, and let me tell you, he gives GREAT hugs.

One year ago today...

Wow, one year. One year ago today, Christopher wasn't even 6 weeks old.

Here he is last Thanksgiving:

My sweet little munchkin all dressed up in the outfit his Grandma Dee helped pick out. Smiling away in his carseat. I think he's heavier than that entire carseat at this point (21lb 6oz).

and this Thanksgiving:

He looked so cute in his outfit. Such a diferent Thanksgiving with him than last year. More pictures from Thanksgiving to come.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We hope everyone has a great day celebrating with family and friends. We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. A home, jobs, our health, a health and happy baby (toddler), great dogs, great family and friends and each other. What are you thankful for?

Not perfect, but fun...

Christmas Photo Attempt #1

I took Christopher outside today to see if I could get some good shots for a possible Christmas card photo. It was hard for him to not focus on the leaves, so I didn't get any good ones of him looking at the camera. I mean I did, but well, you'll see.

I sat him on the grass and he went right for the leaves...

 - Photo Sharing by MyPhotoAlbum
He really loved the leaves...

Unfortunately, the whole "this is mommy trying to take a photo of you looking all cute and perfect" didn't correspond to his "oh a leaf, oh a car, oh a dog... what mommmmm???"

So then I took him over to one of the walls to get maybe a nice standing picture.

But that didn't last long...

But then he went back and found some interesting things...

Lots of interesting things...

That he really wanted to show mommy...

Then he was done and ran back...

For a hug... (a new thing the last week or two, he gives very good hugs)

Then a few last photos on the curb.

I don't think the precious "Christmas Card Photo" was taken today. We have plenty of time so I leave you looking forward to Chrsitmas Photo Attempt #2... too be continued...
