Cars and Dogs

Sunday Christopher was playing with his cars and track. He loves this thing. Almost too much. He'll leave the cars running around the track then leave the room or start doing something else. He can turn them on and off himself so even if I sneak in a turn them off, I get a "Momma, cars on please!"

(Also, side note. I'm using a new website to store my photos and videos so this is the first time, not sure how they will turn out.)

Then Spartan discovered the cars (Cody was more interested in the lights on the camera)

Christopher completely engrossed with the cars...

Spartan is whining at the birds, Cody is trying to find the lights on my camera. It's interesting at times to say the least.

Spartan has decided he doesn't like these "cars". I love how Christopher reprimands him. "No Spartan!"

LOVE this one. Spartan is so brave, getting those evil cars. Then Christopher, right to him "Spartan, no bark!" and Spartan stops. I love that the video ends with the two of them just watching the cars.

Nativity Gossip

Christopher was playing with his Little People Nativity.... and when I came down, this is what I found.

But take a closer look... ummm...

And then the angel went for a ride...

And then.... okayyyy.

And then they all took the holy bus home.

Camping in the house

Christopher received tent/house play area from a friend which he has loved playing in. He takes a blanket, a toy, a stuffed animal, whatever and plays, watches tv... he's too funny.

Oh, and the side of our sofa is the new play area I guess.

I guess when you are only 30 something inches, every new inch bring a whole new area into play!

I was playing with a cool feature on my phone that does black and white except for one color.

My boy's a geek!

One of Christopher's birthday gifts was the Leapfrog Laptop. We thought he might have been too young for it, but he proved us wrong. He loves it. I was able to personalize it so it says his name, now he's always playing with it. A little Geek, just like his daddy!

He sits in his little chair and plays on it. He now has started to cross his legs, put his left ankle up on his right knee to create a "table" and plays with it on his lap that way :)

"What mama? I'm working!"

It even has a little mouse

He is so serious. He'll have his own blog by the time he's three!

Then he discovered that you can change a setting to have the keys make different noises, animal and musical...

He loved it

He loves his laptop...

Toys....

Wow, so it's after the birthday and I think Christopher is still getting use to all of the new toys. Some we haven't even put out yet so spread out the fun. He really gets into his toys, the playing, imagination time, he seems to grasp a lot of the concepts and plays them out.

Even if it's trying to feed the dog vegetables...

Or cooking up something yummy...

I love that he even pushes the buttons to "start it"...

Mr. Potato Head

Another out of order post... this is again from labor day weekend. Us just hanging around the house and me having fun with the camera.

Christopher decided to give Mr. Potato Head a try...

um, okay...

Better, kind of...

Ok, Houston, we have a problem... can you hear me??? Listen with your head!

I was sitting on the sofa taking these with zoom. I didn't want to interfere with his intense concentration... as you can see in some of these.

He didn't ask for help and just kept at it.

Poor Mr. Head, it's like the opposite of being pregnant, all you can see is your toes...

Then he finally gathered all the pieces to bring them to mommy, the obvious choice in all things potato head fixing...

Then jumped in my laundry basket. Again, don't buy toys, everything you already have is the best toy in the world!

Tea Party and Climbing

Christopher is officially a climber... and it's caused Mommy's heart to do a few flips.

Like when he got up here then stood up. Oooyyy.... he is learning, we don't stand on chairs... lol. It's always something right?

And then he's been playing with these cups and saucers I found that I guess use to be mine but I'm not sure. I guess with these, we'll know when he's ready for a big-boy cup. Definitely not yet.

He's become so good at pretending. There is obviously nothing in the cup, but after a few sips, he looks at me and says "Mama, all done" or "All gone". So I pretend to fill or he does and he goes back to this loud slurping.

And this is why I know he's not ready for a "big-boy" cup

(Yes, our kid is skinny, I'm not sure of his weight as his next appointment isn't till Oct. 21, but I'm eager to get him on the scale at home.)
