Pools and lounging...

Sunday was another hot day for us here. So we took out Christopher's blow-up pool that we hadn't used yet to try to get him more use to the swimming pools. We also spent some time just hanging around the house and letting Christopher play and be himself.

He's discovered (as you've seen in some other photos) a new book that he loves. The funny thing is, that it's an instruction booklet for one of the motherboards that David had installed in one of the computers he recently built. There are no real pictures in it, the words are small and it's boring! Well to me anyways. He appears to have a heavy dose of the geek in him thanks to his Daddy. Combine the love of this book with the love of his frog chair... and you have this.

He actually drags the chair from the kitchen to the window so he cansit and watch the birds while he "reads". Then when he's done, he drags it all the way back to where he had found it.

David decided to pull out a chair himself and join in the relaxing. I ended up getting one of the best father son photos ever.

I love how Christopher is looking at him.

And then Christopher continued to read motherboard specs to him.

Video of him and his chair. Another funny thing is, he was trying to get in after putting the book on the seat of the chair. So one time, I put it on the arm of the chair so he isn't sitting on it once he sits, and now he does it every time!

The boys...

Then it was POOL time!

David getting the pool ready... Christopher is completely slathered from head to toe with sunscreen, that's why his hair looks so crazy.

We brought out some of his bath toys to help him have a little more fun...

Summer is almost here!

So we broke out the sidewalk chalk and let Christopher play while Daddy mowed the lawn. He loved it. He's not so much into drawing pictures and things as into scribbling (as he should be). He loved it, and it's been so beautiful on the weekends (with gloomy weekdays) that it was perfect.

So dressing in his shorts and tank top, he took to the street to create his masterpiece...

A little red, a little blue...

He's definitely able to handle them well...

He was very focused...

"mama, look!"

Checking out the different angles..

And very pleased with himself...

And all this while Daddy...

Can you see it?

It's a house, with grass and two dogs!

So given we are such a fair skinned family, we moved the party indoors to play.

Christopher played with his new toy,

And pushed it...

And then got pushed and pulled...

Cody is such a good boy with Christopher. Spartan is too, but he doesn't just lay there, he gets up and moves out of the toddler's way. Cody just let's him pet him, shove toys at him, and talk with him. It's nice to see.

And then on to toys and puzzles.

Ahhh, this is what my floor looks like in the midst of playing...

We actually got a free second one from our local Comcast store just for Christopher to play with. We took the batteries out and he loves it.
