Boating

The Monday after the reception, Grandma and Grandpa Wing took us up north for the day to the lake and to go on the boat. Christopher has never been on a boat before so we knew we'd have fun.

We got him all lathered in sunscreen, bundled him up in his lifevest, added his hat and off we went. He was great. We hung out on Great Grandpa's party boat until the guys had the boat ready. Then we hopped on and took off.

He looks a little nervous here but I think it was more that the vest was uncomfortable...

He played with a few toys, then suddenly...

out...

Who can blame him. It was beautiful out, the rhythm of the boat on the water....

Then we headed back and he got some bedtime reading with Grandpa.

Family time

Sunday, we spent at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Eating, opening wedding gifts and just hanging out in general. Christopher was able to spend some time with his cousin Elli who he seemed smitten with.

He kept calling her baby

On our first full day in Michigan, we decided to take Christopher out to the Zoo. It was so big and had so many animals. He had so much fun and it was great to finally get to be on vacation.

I'm ready!

Then we took a detour at the play area to get him on his feet and move around a bit. They had this great wooden train that he loved.

We had a lot of fun. Christopher fell asleep on the way home, then we put him right to bed. I think he slept for 2 1/2 hours. Tough being on vacation! :)
