Saturday was the reception for David's sister. We were hoping for a beautiful day, but it wasn't meant to be. It rained, all day. We had to be there just about the time Christopher would go down for his nap. (We were lucky to keep him on California time the entire time. Then we had no problems when we got home)
So when we got there, I put Christopher in the stroller, put a blanket over him and just strolled around the building (under cover) until he crashed. I stuck him in a corner of the reception building and he slept for almost an hour and a half like that. Nice :)
Yes, he's by the trashcan, but it was a dark corner and there were trashcans in all the corners. And yes, he's asleep in there... you can see his foot.
See, out.
They decorated all the tables with vases of flowers. It was a great idea, I guess over the last year, they've been picking up different vases at garage sales. So they were all different.
Christopher added his own decorations...
The happy couple.
The building we were in was beautiful. David was great and walked me out with the umbrella so I could get a rain-free photo :)
Yeah, stormy day.
I really love this style of house with the wrap-around porch.
I loved the big fireplace right in the middle of the main wall.
Coloring break.
I got these mess-free sets that the pens only work on the paper. It was great for traveling with a kid who doesn't quite understand staying on the paper yet.
fun artsy shot
Lindsey and her baby girl, Christopher's newest cousin, Elli
Hello there!
We had a great time. Christopher got to meet his great-grandfather (David's dad's dad) and all of his other cousins and great aunts and uncles. It was a lot of fun.
