On our first full day in Michigan, we decided to take Christopher out to the Zoo. It was so big and had so many animals. He had so much fun and it was great to finally get to be on vacation.
I'm ready!
They had this great Monkey exhibit. Christopher loved it as he loves all things monkey!
These were behind glass, so excuse any glare...
He loved the animals...
We didn't realize though that we'd decided to tour the reptile area during lunch time! There were a few moments that I just skipped Christopher right by these guys...
but he loved the one's that's weren't in the middle of lunch...
or the one's that had just eaten lunch
OMG, what did he eat, a rabbit?
and this one we saw happen...
I won't post the close up David decided we needed.
Very friendly...
He was looking at this big fish in this glowing aquarium...
This kid has no fear. Touch it, okay!
This is what he was touching...
Then we took a detour at the play area to get him on his feet and move around a bit. They had this great wooden train that he loved.
Then he decided to saddle up next to this little red-head and tried to get her digits.
so suave!
I love the arm...
Then on to the petting zoo. Again, he wasn't afraid of any of them. Guess that's what happens when you are around two big dogs all the time.
This guy was pretty funny.
We saw bears
And a snow leopard
Flamingos
Christopher loved it all, and the rest of us were having fun watching him take it all in.
Including the camels... in Michigan?? :)
Playing the drums
Lions!
I was in charge of the stroller... the important tasks...
Christopher with Grandma and Grandpa W
We had a lot of fun. Christopher fell asleep on the way home, then we put him right to bed. I think he slept for 2 1/2 hours. Tough being on vacation! :)
