The TWINS are home!!

The twins, Emmy and Cole, came home from the hospital Thursday. So exciting, they are so cute...


I think Emmy is on the left and Cole is on the right. I could be wrong :)


I have no idea which is which. But does it matter? They are both adorable!!!

An early Father's Day at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Saturday we got together and Grandma and Grandpa's for an early Father's Day. Junior had such a great time with.


He and Grandpa went on a walk...

Christopher's new toy

Christopher got a new toy last week. Since he's been pulling up and able to kneel, I wanted a toy that would encourage him to do this.


It's a little table with little interactive toys on top.

It's so cute, it's all Italian themed. He LOVES it!





And the onesie I got for Christopher when I went to Vegas last year when I was 4 months pregnant.

Where has the time gone?? 8 Months old already!!

Christopher turned 8 months old Sunday June 14th! Our little big boy, such a pleasure to be around.



Christopher threw himself full force into being 8 months old. In the last week, he started crawling forward:





Pulling up to his knees,


and sitting up on his own (photo to come)

He is teething pretty bad but continues to be such a well mannered baby.

He also had a lot of funny with Daddy!


More photos to come, we had a great weekend that we want to share!! Including, Christopher's first trip to a park...

Wow, what a difference a week makes

I knew it would happen, it was enevitable. Christopher has gone from an almost crawling baby to much more, in just ONE week. Since last Sunday, probably since this last Wednesday, Christopher has become one mobile baby. He is crawling forward... yes, towards the object of his desire. He can then pull up to his knees. On Friday he actually used David to pull up from his knees to standing at the coffee table, proceeded to take two side steps. He then missed a grip and fell backwards hitting his head on the carpet. Half a second of crying later he's fine. Oh, did I mention this kid doesn't really cry when he falls? It's more of a look of "what happened? oh... look" and he's off to the next thing.

He's entered the "only mommy" phase. As of today, mommy mommy mommy. Double edge sword I tell you. I love it and hate it at the same time. Hand off to daddy? crying. Put on the floor with favorite toy so mommy can go get a soda? crying. Put in the playpen so mommy can go potty? crying. However, the kid is teething bad and just wants to cuddle and I can't deny him. He's got me wrapped around his little, tiny, itsy bitsy finger :)

And through all this, he's still such a great kid. So easy going it's hard to believe. He's still sleeping through the night (**knock on wood**). He's usually in bed 7:30-8pm and up at 6am-7am.

So yes, lot's of progress. I'll try to get photos this weekend and get them up. Also, I can't believe it, but he's going to be 8 months old tomorrow!!!

Our visit to Pacific Grove

This weekend we went to Pacific Grove to catch up with friends. On the way, we stopped to take some photos of Junior on Great Nana and Great Popos bench and take some photos with the water since it was such a beautiful day.


Yes, he's sitting on his own. I was very close by, I think my hand was in one of the shots :)


He looks so big (yet so tiny) just sitting there. It's so cute. I can't believe he's going to be 8 months old in a few days (June 14th).

We then went over to the water side to take some more photos.


Christopher stopped to smell the flowers for a bit.

Christopher and Gracie

Christopher had his first visit with Gracie this weekend. Gracie is Craig and Glenna Torres' daughter who was born exactly 3 weeks before Christopher.

Meet Gracie (or Grace) Torres...


She will be 9 months old on June 23rd.

She and Christopher had a blast together and of course of all the toys, both wanted to play with the same one.





And they gave big smiles...


It was a lot of fun to get them together. Until the next date :)

Teething...

Christopher has been teething for... oh for a while. He's been drooling a ton, a little fussier, and the last week his sleeping has been off. Of course, Christopher, on a bad day of teething, is just a fussy baby. Still sleeps through the night (crossing fingers) just waking up a little earlier 6:15am instead of 7am the last 5 days.

So to help him with this pain, we've given him Tylenol, teething rings, cold teething rings (thanks to Grandma Angelo) and Orajel. Now it looks like his bottom two are coming in, any day. That's where the orajel has gone. Well this morning, I try to feel if something has broken through, he bites down. How suprised was I to feel something sharp on TOP of my finger. I felt again and although I didn't see any teeth, there is a sharp edge to his UPPER gum. Yes, Christopher is cutting his first two teeth, and they are the on the TOP.

My son just has to do everything backwards!

Crawling

Junior is sooo close, he is almost there. David and I played with him on the floor tonight. As usual, the best things to put in front of him to get him going are the dog, David's hat, the cell phone or the tv remote control.

I need to get video of his progress then I'll figure out how to post it.

David has his second (1st in person) interview with Driscolls next Wednesday at 11:30am. Good vibes, fingers crossed, whatever you do to send luck... please do. Not that David needs it... he'll do great!
