Lazy Saturday

We had a nice relaxing weekend. We ventured out once on Saturday through the rain to go to Costco and get some shopping done, other than that, we were inside the whole time.

Christopher pulled back out his chair to sit at the window... he's getting so big.

So relaxed! Tough life :)

And then he pulled out the magnifying glass he got at the birthday party he went to last weekend.

He was intrigued to say the least!

Lick it!

I've started giving Christopher the occasional dessert of a graham cracker with a thin layer of nutella on it. (It has no peanuts so he's fine with it).

This is what happened when he was done with it the other night :)

Party on the farm!

Saturday we had a friends birthday party for their son. One of the many things that he and Christopher share is their total obsession with tractors. The entire theme of the party was green and yellow for the John Deere colors. The entire party was inside a barn, which was nice since it was freezing and so windy outside.

She had a bunch of craft stations for the kids. Christopher enjoyed the coloring books (and daddy as well)

They even had a jumpy house inside the barn.

Christopher went in for a bit, but he was the smallest kid in it and got out after a few minutes.

Christopher discovered the cupcakes

and it took a bit of distraction to get him away....

And back to the coloring :)

And she had play swords for the kids. He loved it. Was very good with it. We now have one at home :)

And then it was time for the best part of the day. The tractor rides had been going all day, but there were a lot of kids and it was too windy to wait outside with christopher. Eventually David got them a solo ride...

David said that Christopher was just in awe... loved it

I love this one, he's waving at me :)

He did great

Video of them in the tractor. I admit, it's a boring video of a tractor going around. But I knew Christopher was in it so I thought it was cute.

Then he discovered the hula hoops...

After cupcakes, which Christopher had 2 bites of then was done... David asked him "you ready to go back home and take a nap?" Christopher "Yes"

So off we went, back into the car. Christopher was asleep within a few minutes

Sick and training...

In this video, Christopher was sick, you can hear it in his voice. All crackly... poor baby. But he still had spunk. It's the toughest when he's sick enough to not be able to go to daycare, sick enough to need to rest and sick enough that he's well, sick, but not sick enough to want to slow himself down. He still wants to play and have fun and David and I are trying to find ways to slow him down since it was a cold that he had.

He was helping Daddy here and we both just thought it was so cute. Somewhere along the way he picked up the hand signals and is constantly using them to tell the dogs what to do.

Big boys use cups!

Christopher has decided he wants to use a big boy cup. Not a sippy cup, not a cup with a straw, a cup. WITH NO LID! Luckily his awesome bibs catch any minor (and not so minor) spills. He's pretty good, I think he's used them at daycare a few times.

And yes, that is a normal breakfast for him. That's homemade pancakes with syrup (extra to dip), his strawberries are already gone and a piece of toast in it's place (it was too hard and he didn't eat it), yogurt and a glass of milk. He's have an enormous breakfast, a normal lunch and a small dinner. (Which is what the nutritionists tell us to do right?? He's already ahead of the game)

He likes to dip the pieces...

Love this shot :)

And a random shot of Cody that made it on my camera. Technically this is what they do while Christopher eats.... while Christopher tells them "back cody!". Gotta love that tongue!

Photos from February

Yeah, I know. I'm behind. It's not really that I'm behind, it's just that wee had a fairly uneventful January and February, so not a lot of pictures. I have a few from February though.

For Christmas, Christopher got a drill set. He picked it up right away and loves playing with it.

Our little handyman. I'll have him fixing things around the house before he's 3! Love it :)
