For everyone!

Dan, for lunch, decided to do a whole roasted chicken with a salad. And don't forget about the nice wine (for mommy) and margaritas for the boys.

And this little man.

No matter how big of a goober he's being...

Getting lunch ready.

Then we had this amazing lunch and got on the road about 2pm. It was a long weekend (as you can see by the three posts) but we had a great time!

Oh, and during this trip, Christopher cut one of his bottom canines, yep, another tooth. That's 15 teeth!

Napa Trip! (Part 2)

In the morning, we woke up to "Mama" through the monitor. I decided to try to sneak out of our room to the bathroom down the hall to put in my contacts and brush my teeth before getting Christopher and bringing him to bed with us. As soon as I stepped out I realized I had forgotten that we'd left his door open a crack and I hear "Momma!!!, Momma!", oops.

So we played for a bit then went downstairs where we discovered Christopher was instant friends with Dan. He would follow him around like a little shadow, "what are you doing?" "what's that?". Of course, mommy was doing the same because I love to watch Dan cook.

Then breakfast...

And then mommy went outside to take more photos... leaving behind this little face.

The mornings are amazing at this house. The fog rises to just ground level of their house. So first thing in the morning you wake up, look outside and literally look like you are on a house on a cloud.

And as the morning rolls on, the fog starts to roll out.

Then back in for play time.

So can you guess what type of toy Christopher is obsessing about right now?

I love watching him play and take photos. Plus, he was such a good boy while playing at someone elses house. He listened well and would pay attention to what we were asking and what he wasn't allowed to do.

My amazing Dutch hubby in his Italia sweatshirt. (Gotta thank the wife for that one!)

Party 3 next...

Napa Trip! (Part 1)

David and I are very lucky to have friends who live in such wonderful places like Napa. It actually makes the 6 hour trip up there (a few stops along the way) worth it! We drove up first thing Saturday morning and came back mid-day on Sunday. It was a quick trip but a great visit. Our friends Dan and Marie have a beautiful house "on the top of the world" as we call it. It takes about 10 minutes just to drive up the hill to their house. They've recently redone the house it was beautiful.

I loved this stairway right at the entrance.

Christopher was so good on the trip up, but only one 20 minute nap, not good. But he was such a trooper and we got him settled in with dinner and some Shrek so we could have some adult time. He loved it, first viewing. In his new booster seat no doubt.

Love this chair already. It will transition with him till he can just sit in the chair.

I loved the redwood on the floors.

And a happy hubby...

Christopher got to see some lizards and some other bugs.

And this is Margaret, the soft serve machine turned into Margarita Machine! Love it. She's all dressed up in her blue dress with nowhere to go. Poor thing.

And the pit from Pig Roasts past.

Dan and David

Dan is an amazing chef, chocolatier, lover of fine wines and all around great friend!

A great evening... with great company.

Christopher, of course, went to sleep without a problem. He did wake up twice though and fussed a bit since he didn't know where he was, but he went down quickly.

Part 2 next...
